Pulmonology/Critical Care need in western Washington - Puget Sound! 


This is a ~100 bed hospital offers a great opportunity for the physician who wants a critical care setting but not in a trauma center.


Located on Puget Sound, this is the perfect location for anyone who loves The Great Outdoors. The rugged Olympia Mountains, Olympia National Park and snow capped Mount Rainier are all close by. Nisqually Wildlife Refuge features world-class bird-watching on its 3,000 acres of salt and freshwater marshes. The Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conversation Area has 678 acres of habitat, ranging from shoreline and marsh land to forest.


Three positions are available:

  1.    A successful Hospitalist program is expanding and needs a Pulmonology/Critical Care physician to join their growing group of six Hospitalists.  They prefer a physician who has a fellowship in both Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care.  The Hospitalist shift is 7 on/off, 12 hour shifts.  The Hospitalist have two during the day and one Hospitalist at night who does not have to stay in the hospital.  Average ICU/CCU census is 12 patients with 2-3 vent patients.  Hospitalists have ~32 encounters daily. 
  2.  Join a multispecialty group as a traditional Pulm/CC physician who will cover the ICU and have an IP/OP practice.  Be the first Pulm/CC physician in this multispecialty group.
  3.  Start your own private practice with financial support from the hospital with an income guarantee contract.
